We would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for your generous and invaluable contribution to the operation of the therapeutic dog-assisted program for our school students.
This contribution, which was made by the Yad L’Ami organization, arrived at an exceptionally meaningful and timely moment. The children of Sderot, who continue to carry the emotional impact of the events of October 7 and face complex emotional and psychological challenges daily, have found in their interactions with the dogs a safe, healing, and empowering space. The positive impact of this program is evident in every aspect of the students’ lives.
Our teaching staff reports significant improvements in the students’ ability to self-regulate, increased concentration, and a greater sense of resilience and calm throughout the school day.
Parents have shared, with great emotion, the profound behavioral changes and emotional growth they have witnessed at home. Some families have even decided to adopt a dog as a result of the program’s influence.
Thanks to your generosity, compassion, and inspiring spirit of giving, many students have been granted a transformative experience, received valuable coping tools, and a genuine source of hope and healing.
