Good at heart for our elderly people
“Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.”
(Isaiah 40:1)
In Israel, fortunately we are slowly seeing a change for the Holocaust survivors. More and more of them are receiving grants and discounts, which make their lives a little easier. This is wonderful news! But that does not mean that our help and support is ending, and certainly not that the older generation, who helped build the country, will be forgotten.
Recently, we received a long list of names of elderly people who are not Holocaust survivors, but who have contributed to society throughout their lives. They have worked hard during their lives but never built up a pension. Today, many of them live below the poverty line. Their lives are filled with worries about daily expenses, food, medical care, and basic needs.
These elderly people are in urgent need of our help. And this is where you can make a difference.
By donating under the name “ELDERLY,” you help us to make their lives a little brighter and warmer.
With your support, we can, for example:
- organize activities for them to experience social contact and the accompanying joy,
- purchase incontinence supplies for a more comfortable life,
- provide monthly food vouchers to ensure there is always enough on the table,
- provide a voucher around the holidays to give them a sense of appreciation and care.
Every donation, big or small, makes a world of difference. Together we ensure that these elderly people will feel seen, valued, and supported. They built the country, and now it is our turn to take care of them.
